Job Summary:

Metaform Industries LLC is looking for a hands-on and experienced

Supervisor

to oversee day-to-day operations in our

Structural Steel Fabrication

workshop. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication processes and experience supervising a team of fabricators, fitters, and welders. This role ensures that production meets quality, safety, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise workshop activities including cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, and final assembly of structural steel components. Distribute daily tasks to workers based on production plans and priorities. Interpret fabrication drawings and ensure work is executed according to approved specifications. Monitor production quality and coordinate with the QC team to resolve defects or nonconformities. Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly followed on the shop floor. Track material usage and coordinate with the store and procurement team for requirements. Maintain discipline, performance, and morale of the workforce. Report daily progress, productivity, and issues to the Production Manager. Provide on-the-job training to workers to improve skills and work standards.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in structural steel fabrication. Strong knowledge of fabrication procedures, tools, machines, and materials. Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings. Good leadership, time management, and team coordination skills. Familiar with safety standards and fabrication codes (e.g., AWS, AISC, or BS). Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production tracking software/ERP is an advantage.
