Supervisor - Structural/ Piping

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Accountabilities:

Supervise project pipe fabrication/ installation with team, conduct safety and risk assessment.

Study project requirement and work out man power / material as needed

Prepare and track project tech and schedule and follow thru with team, advice updates to Manager.

Communicate with Client / project manager as applicable for inputs and arrange NDT, Hydro testing, flushing as needed.

Advise improvement in processes and guide team(s) to deliver on time and within given man hours.

Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management.

Take up other non-pipe projects as given by Manager.

Ensure materials are of required standard prior to use, reporting damages when required.

Work within allocated timescale to meet department targets

Liaise with Invoicers / estimators to ensure that department, commercial targets are met.

Participate in accident investigation, root cause analysis and provide assistance in preparing reports.

Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the department / Section head to ensure compliance with the established standard and procedures.

Attend any training for any activity required by the department.

Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.

Qualifications/ Experience & Skills:

Diploma in engineering or equivalent.

AutoCAD.

At least 6 years of experience as lead Foreman or Supervisor in Marine or New building Yard.

Well versed and knowledge of piping and associated codes, able to read all type of piping drawings.

Select and use appropriate fabrication processes and tools for productivity.

Able to take up non pipe projects.

Select and use appropriate tools, equipment, materials and machines.

Apply knowledge of appropriate engineering principles, techniques and procedures.
