Job Purpose

To supervise the team of Travel Consultants, drive operational efficiencies and deal with VIP/complex client groups as well as escalated operational issues. Ensure that individual and team achieve the sales and revenue targets in line with the set department budgets

Job Responsibilities

Supervise the team and ensure resources are all in place for operational effectiveness.

• Create a team rota to co-ordinate operational activities effectively across the team and ensure promotional activities are regularly carried out from the travel consultants to existing customers.
• First point of call to deal with escalated internal and external operational issues to ensure all queries are handled as efficiently as possible.
• Work with Head of Inbound to establish and implement the training schedule to ensure their Booking engines\' knowledge, industry market knowledge and their customisation of itinerary knowledge is in line with market requirements.
• Motivate the team to find new business with existing clients by capitalising on incentives provided by hotels/DMCs, encouraging the selling of spot deals, \xe2\x80\x9csmart selling\xe2\x80\x9d and the upselling of add-ons.
• Provide to line manager regular revenue/booking pipeline reports.
• Assist Inbound Manager with budgeting for the department to ensure future operational strategies can be accurately costs and hence achieved.
• Assist Inbound Manager in implementing the business plan for the department to ensure the team understands the direction in which they are heading.
• Participate in travel exhibitions & road shows as per the directions of the Inbound Manager to identify potential leads/partners and identify bidding opportunities.
• Motivate and coach the team to ensure high employee engagement levels.
• Deal with VIP/Complex clients and escalated internal and external operational issues to ensure all queries are managed efficiently.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent

Experience

• At least 5 - 7 years of relevant experience & 1 - 2 years at Supervisory level
