Urgently looking for Supervisor Electrical for our client in Dubai into Ship building and Repair. Job Objectives (Summary of overall job purpose) Plan, organize and supervise electrical preventive maintenance and repair activities for yard machineries / electrical equipments in order to ensure uninterrupted operation of the same. Key Responsibilities Policies, Processes & Procedures: Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner. Ensure employees are aware and follow the information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties Day-to-day operations: Supervise preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities to electrical equipment including but not limited to Cranes, Substations - MV and LV switchgears and Transformers, Compressors house equipment, Docking equipment, MV and LV pump motors, Dock operations, etc. Carryout various Capital Projects installations. (i.e. Provide power supply for new yard machineries installations, Electrical equipment retrofitting / refurbishment). Develop, interpret and follow method statements and procedures in addition to understanding specifications, drawings and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation. Develop detailed completion program with manpower loading. Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement to work & safety related matters. Participate in accident investigation, root cause analysis and provide assistance in preparing reports. Motivate and develop subordinates. Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the Electrical Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures Spend time in workplaces, monitor the job progress and ensure the workers are efficiently producing good quality output and working in a safe manner. Direction of Subordinates: Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within Electrical Sections activity is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the procedures. Provide personnel appraisal & training requirements for subordinates. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account \xe2\x80\x98international best practice\xe2\x80\x99, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement. Reporting: Prepare departmental reports accurately in time to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards. Immediately reporting any incident or potential hazard to their Supervisor or Safety Dept STOP the task if you feel yourself or others may be harmed. Good communication skills in English is required.
