Position Title: Supervisor-Commissioning- Telecom
Job Summary:
The Telecom Commissioning Supervisor is responsible for supervising the pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and handover of telecommunication systems in oil and gas facilities. This role ensures that all telecom systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements. The position requires close coordination with Engineering, Construction, Vendors and Client representatives to deliver fully functional telecom systems.
Key Responsibilities:
? Supervise commissioning activities for the following telecommunication systems:

• PAGA (Public Address & General Alarm)
• CCTV Surveillance Systems
• IP & Analog Telephone Systems
• UHF TETRA Radio Systems
• Structured Cabling Systems
• LAN/WAN Networks (Business LAN & Security LAN)
• Access Control Systems
• GSM Signal Enhancement Systems
• Fiber Optic Network / Systems

? Execute and ensure compliance with approved Commissioning Procedures and Risk Assessments.
? Ensure strict adherence to HSE procedures and site permit-to-work systems.
? Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and other disciplines during Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), integration, and commissioning phases.
? Participate in system walk-downs, functional testing, loop checks, energization, and troubleshooting.
? Maintain detailed records of daily activities, testing progress, and issue resolution.
? Manage and close punch list items in coordination with clients, vendors and construction teams.
? Support the final system handover and ensure all as-built documentation and test records are completed and submitted.
Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry, including at least 3-5 years in a telecom commissioning supervisory role.
• Proficient in commissioning test equipment and documentation standards.
• Hands-on experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

• CCNA or equivalent certification in telecom/networking
• Familiarity with ATEX / IECEx standards for hazardous area installations (advantageous)
