Job Description
Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for mechanical maint. activities in Continuous casting machine, Overhead crane and Utility ( water complex and gas media). Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness and follow to comply with all company safety rules, procedure and regulations.
Major Responsibilities, Duties performed and authorities:
- Mechanical Maintenance activity for CCM; OHC and Utility. Preparation and update maintenance schedule.
- Preparation of technical specification of equipment’s required for maintenance and spares planning.
- Drawing review and study for spare planning , repair , modification etc.
- Pump repair and maintenance. Cooling tower and HE experience.
- Preparation of RFQ and records.
- Preparation of technical recommendation and discussion with equipment suppliers to finalize same.
- To provide technical support to the water system of other plant or project.
- Develop and follow safety policy for the department.
- Ensure proper house keeping of the department.
- Ensure smooth operation of the plant
- Maintenance and shutdown planning..
- To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
- To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
- To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
- To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
- To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.
- To attend safety trainings planned for them.
- Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
- Record of all instrument reading and analysis .
- Must not have height phobia/ fear.
Other Responsibilities:
- Make sure all PPE during maintenance activities & Follow Company Safety rules regulations & follow work procedure.
- Housekeeping of whole area;
- Support to other maintenance activity as required.
- Safety observations raise and reporting.
