Subcontract Manager

:

Connect Energy partners with an EPC company specialized in process plant projects to look for a SENIOR SUBCONTRACT ENGINEER / SUBCONTRACT MANAGER to work in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities

Overall in charge for Contracts in the Company. Supervise the Procurement Team in the Middle East. Manage preparation of tender contract reviews and lookout list. Oversee response timeline to answer all queries regarding tenders. Provide clarifications, interpretations, and propose actions in negotiating terms and conditions. Main Contracts

Manage drafting, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of all types of contracts. Build up contract personnel that are specialized in main contracts. Manage requirements for contractual matters until project completion. Attend Project meetings where necessary for contractual matters. Provide contractual advice and interpretation when required. Work with Project Manager in mitigating and performing risk assessment in contracts. Provide contractual advice to Project Management Team in substantiating extension of time. Ensure proper project close out as per contract. Provide necessary guidance to members of the contracts team on contractual and commercial uses. Subcontracts and PO T&Cs

Build up contract personnel that is specialized in subcontracts. Oversee, manage, and review subcontracts and purchase order Terms and Conditions. Review, develop, and implement contract administration procedures, systems, and policies in consultation with Management. Oversee subcontract requirements from development stage to completion. Communicate with internal disciplines and negotiate with vendors for any subcontract matters. Attend Commercial clarification with Vendor / Subcontractors / Service providers. Provide contractual advice and defend against Vendor / Service Provider / Subcontractor's claim. Provide assistance to Project Management Team in analyzing Subcontract Extension of Time or Variations. Oversee all Subcontracts from Selection to Close out. Identify possible areas of dispute amongst the Consultant(s), Contractor(s), and Client(s) and take the necessary proactive measures. Develop a contract personnel that is specialized in resolving disputes. Manage disputes and provide resolution. Review / draft letters and documents for and from third parties / internal disciplines and assist to propose solutions. Defend against any invalid claims of Vendors to the Company. Compliance

Oversee Pre-Qualification administration of vendors in the ME region. Ensure commercial claims / variations / documentations are in compliance with Contract and Procurement procedures. Ensure contract related procedures are complied with. Ensure procurement objectives are achieved in ME. Ensure procurement objectives for Pre Qualification and Subcontract are achieved in SG. Decision Making Authority
