We're Hiring - QA/QC Engineer at Engineering Construction & Erection Co LLC!

Location: Nizwa, Oman

Position: Quality Control / NDT Engineer - Structural Steel Fabrication

Minimum Experience: +4 years in steel fabrication .

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

Certifications: ASNT Level II in UT / MT / PT / RT / VT

Key Skills Required:

Proven experience in Structural Steel Dimensional Inspection

Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and QC procedures

Awareness and working knowledge of relevant standards such as:

AWS D1.1, ASTM, ASME, ISO, and project-specific QC requirements

Experience preparing:

Inspection & Test Reports (ITR)

Daily Fabrication & Welding Inspection Reports

Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)

Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)

Ability to use measuring tools (vernier, height gauge, micrometer, etc.)

Familiar with steel fabrication processes (cutting, welding, assembly, fit-up, final inspection)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Raw material inspection and documentation

Perform dimensional inspection of steel structures as per approved drawings & tolerances

Conduct NDT as per ASNT Level II techniques

Ensure compliance with project specifications & international standards

Monitor welding, fit-up, and finishing activities

Coordinate with production, engineering, and client inspectors

Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation
