Job Description

Structural Engineer Duncan & Ross is looking for a Structural engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for technical review of design, material submissions prepared by other consultants. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Should be responsible for the technical review of design, material submissions prepared by other consultants Should be able to independently design, detail and coordinate with the draftsman to produce the drawings incompliance with the scope of the work should be acting as discipline reviewer (and originator where necessary)for all structural engineering deliverables including specifications, procedures, Scope of work, MTOs and structural design reports. Should be supporting Lead Engineer with planning and scheduling of discipline activities and deliverables, including man hour estimating when required to support bid/tender Should ensure own works and the discipline works to the required schedule and man-hour allocation. Should coordinate with discipline (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables and should ensure that the other disciplines input is incorporated Should ensure structural compliance with Structural specifications as well as applicable code requirements and national/international standards Should prepare enquiry requisitions, evaluate bids, prepares technical bid evaluations and shall manage bid clarifications Should be responsible for interface with client, approval authorities and external third parties such as installation, fabrication contractors. Shall coordinate meetings and handle responses arising from these interfaces. Software knowledge :

Should have Excellent background in structural software: (Hardware & Software provided by BTME)

Etabs Staad, Safe, Prokon, Mat 3D. etc Educational Qualification & Profile Graduate/ Post graduate in civil/Structural Engineering/ Bachelor degree min Experience(3 to 5 years )

Should have working experience in Engineering consultancies with gulf /UAE Should have minimum five years experience in designing buildings, water tanks and underground structures Must have experience in designing concrete structures, Steel Structures, UG structures, low rise architecturally important structures and under/above ground blast resistant structures Should have sound knowledge in, American & British Codes as well as Abu dhabi International Building code is preferred Should have commanding knowledge in English ( written and Oral) Should be familiar with the specifications and standards of Abu Dhabi government authorities is preferred Should have experience being part of the multidisciplinary projects.
