Structural Draughtsman

Reporting to: Project Engineer

Overview

ALTA VITA is seeking a talented and detail oriented Structural/Architectural Draughtsman to join our team for a site based role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing structural and architectural shop drawings while managing essential project documentation. Proficiency in AutoCAD and a keen ability to produce clear and accurate drawings are essential for this position. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical shop drawings, along with Revit skills, will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed and precise architectural and structural shop drawings for construction projects in accordance with specifications and guidelines.

- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineers on site to ensure that drawings meet project requirements and standards.

- Manage and organize project documentation, including submittals, RFI's, inspections, revisions, and record drawings to maintain accurate project records.

- Coordinate design drawings throughout the shop drawings process

- Review and interpret architectural plans and specifications to create accurate and compliant shop drawings.

- Ensure that all drawings are produced in accordance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.

- Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to resolve drawing and document related issues and discrepancies.

- Provide support in coordinating mechanical and electrical shop drawings, understanding their integration with architectural designs.

- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all drawings to facilitate efficient construction processes.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as an structural draughtsman, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work in preparation of shop drawings.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is advantageous.

- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to incorporate these elements in drawings is a plus.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, detailing, and building codes.

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

- Detail oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high quality, accurate drawings.

- Excellent document control and management is essential.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
