Job Summary

The Structural Draftsman will be responsible for preparing accurate and coordinated structural drawings for

building projects

(Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use) involving

RCC and structural steel works

, in compliance with Abu Dhabi authority requirements and consultancy standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

RCC and structural steel drawings

for building projects, including: General arrangement drawings Reinforcement detailing (foundations, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls) Structural steel fabrication and erection drawings Produce drawings for

concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and IFC stages

. Ensure compliance with

Abu Dhabi authority regulations

, project specifications, and applicable international codes. Coordinate with

structural engineers

to accurately interpret design intent. Coordinate with

architectural and MEP teams

to ensure fully coordinated and clash-free drawings. Update drawings based on

engineer comments, site feedback, and authority requirements

. Prepare

shop drawings and as-built drawings

as required. Maintain drawing revisions, registers, and document control in line with consultancy procedures. Assist engineers with

quantity take-offs and schedules

when required.
Software & Technical Skills

Proficient in

AutoCAD

(mandatory). Working knowledge of

Revit Structure

is preferred. Strong understanding of: RCC detailing standards for building structures Structural steel detailing and connections Familiarity with

BS, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes

and

UAE construction practices

.
Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in

Civil / Structural Engineering

or Structural Drafting.
Experience Requirements

Minimum

5+ years

experience as a

Structural Draftsman

. Mandatory

engineering consultancy experience

on

building projects

. Prior experience in

Abu Dhabi / UAE projects

is highly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good coordination and communication skills. Immediate availability.
