Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Structural Draftsman to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of our projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in structural drafting within a consultancy environment, with strong proficiency in Revit and a solid understanding of structural design principles.

Key Responsibilities

Detailed Drafting:

Prepare accurate and detailed structural drawings and plans using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring adherence to design specifications and standards.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and make necessary adjustments to designs.

Compliance:

Review and analyze structural designs for compliance with local building codes and industry standards.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.

Site Visits:

Conduct site visits to gather data, verify measurements, and ensure the accuracy of designs.

Coordination:

Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and software advancements to enhance drafting practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background:

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Draftsman in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a consultancy role.

Software Proficiency:

Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with BIM 360 and Navisworks is advantageous.

Structural Knowledge:

Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, including experience with concrete and steel structures.

Regulatory Knowledge:

Familiarity with UAE building codes and regulations.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in drafting and documentation.

Team Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
