The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities for high-rise building projects. The role ensures quality execution, adherence to project specifications, local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DCD), and timely completion of works.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & Execution
Oversee daily site operations for structural, architectural, and MEP works in high-rise towers.
Monitor rebar, formwork, post-tensioning, concrete pouring, facade installation, blockwork, and finishing activities.
Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors, foremen, and the construction team to maintain steady workflow and productivity.
2. Quality Assurance & Inspections
Conduct internal inspections and prepare ITRs for consultant approvals.
Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM) codes, EHS guidelines, and project QA/QC procedures.
Identify and report defects or non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
Verify materials delivered to site meet project and quality requirements.
3. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with consultants, client representatives, and subcontractors for approvals and site matters.
Coordinate with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to resolve site clashes and ensure proper sequencing of work.
Attend technical meetings, progress meetings, and safety briefings.
4. Planning & Documentation
Prepare daily reports, weekly progress summaries, and manpower reports.
Support preparation of look-ahead schedules based on project timelines.
Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and raise RFIs for missing or unclear details.
Maintain logs: inspection requests, material delivery reports, NCRs, drawings, site instructions.
5. Health, Safety & Environment
Ensure site activities comply with HSE policies, especially for high-rise risks (working at height, lifting operations, scaffolding).
Conduct toolbox talks and support HSE team in implementing site safety programs.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
3-10 years of experience in
high-rise building construction
(UAE/GCC advantage).
Strong understanding of concrete structural works, finishing works, MEP coordination, and facade systems.
Familiar with DM, Trakhees, Emaar, Nakheel, Dubai Hills, DCD, and other authority requirements.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office; knowledge of Primavera or Revit is a plus.
