We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Structural Design Engineer

to join our team for substation projects in

Dubai

. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in designing substation structures, with a sound understanding of

DEWA

and

TRANSCO

standards, regulations, and approval procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review

structural designs

and

detailed drawings

for substation buildings and associated infrastructure. Ensure compliance with

DEWA

,

TRANSCO

, and other local authority requirements. Coordinate closely with

MEP

,

architectural

, and

civil

teams for integrated project delivery. Prepare

structural calculation reports

, design justifications, and submission documents. Manage and respond to design reviews, comments, and revisions from local authorities and clients. Conduct regular

site coordination

visits and provide technical support during execution. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to obtain timely approvals. Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project timelines and design standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in

Civil or Structural Engineering

(Master's preferred).

10+ years of UAE experience

in structural design, with a focus on

substation projects

. In-depth knowledge of

DEWA / TRANSCO design standards

, submittal processes, and technical requirements. Proficiency in structural design software such as

STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD

, and

Revit

. Previous experience in

engineering consultancy firms

handling substation or utility projects. Strong understanding of

local authority approval processes

in Dubai and/or Abu Dhabi. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
