Job Description

POE Engineering Consultants is urgently hiring for a Structural Design Engineer with 7 years of minimum experience working in an Engineering Consultant firm in Dubai.

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for different types of buildings in accordance with international standards and codes using engineering programs and spreadsheets.

Strong in seismic and wind analysis for mid to high-rise buildings in compliance with the American Code

Technical report writing and other relevant official correspondence with client/project managers

Performers, tender documents, BOQ, and detailed bid analyses

Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction-related documents

Experience in steel structure, precast, and post-tension would be an advantage

Attend project meetings with other engineering departments, project managers, and site engineers

Experience with municipal rules and regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

BSc or MSc degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience, including at least 5 years of experience in Dubai.

Strong proficiency in ETABS and SAFE is mandatory.

Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM (Revit Structure).

Responsibilities

Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and construction cost estimates.

Perform construction-related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.

Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
