Job Description

WSA are hiring for an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai. You will be responsible for design and analysis of various building projects, predominately in luxury villa communities, ensuring sustainable deign in compliance with local and international standards. You will work closely with our architectural and MEP teams along with clients and other stakeholders to create innovative and efficient designs that meet client needs. You will possess a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, along with a passion for creating robust and aesthetically pleasing structures.
Responsibilities: * Develop and analyse structural design models using advanced software tools to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and engineers, to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing structures and determine necessary modifications or repairs.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, reports, and documentation for project approvals and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance design efficiency and sustainability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients to ensure alignment with their vision and requirements.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within financial constraints.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential structural issues during the design and construction phases.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout the design and construction processes.

Preferred Candidate: * Minimum of Bachelor's with preference of Master's degree in Structural Engineering.

• Proven experience in structural design, preferably within the architecture or construction industries.
• Strong proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD Pro.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively in challenging situations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work and maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations specific to the UAE region.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools to create detailed engineering drawings.
