PES ENGINEERING was born from the Engineering Division of PES, founded in 1979, and currently has over 200 permanent engineering staff, boasting significant experience in the Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy, Chemical, Petrochemical, and Automotive sectors.
PES ENGINEERING provides technical and engineering services (Civil, Rotating Machinery, Static Equipment, Process, HSE Design, Electro-instrumental, Layout & Piping), offering over 200,000 engineering hours per year to all major Oil & Gas Companies, EPC Contractors, Industrial Manufacturers, etc.
Currently, PES ENGINEERING has 8 offices in Italy: HQ in Rosignano Solvay (LI), Livorno, San Donato Milanese, Florence, Rome, Bari, Vibo Marina (VV), and Gela.
Abroad, PES ENGINEERING is present in three countries (UK, Romania, UAE). In addition, a series of strategic partnerships, signed on virtually every continent, support the company in carrying out multidisciplinary engineering, service, service management, inspection & expediting, and recruitment & hiring of local personnel.

• Ensure the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering design.
• Ensure that the structural engineering is developed in respect of Contract, Quality, Safety, and Environment requirements, within the specific Time Schedule and Cost.
• Support the Chief Civil & Structural Engineer in Interacting with the Client for the any structural engineering issue.
• Be the point of contact for structural design for contractors, design team and third parties

Responsibilities and duties:

• Develop structural calculation of main structural items on the projects
• Approve all structural engineering deliverables issued by the civil discipline for the projects.
• Propose optimization/changes in order to minimize quantity/costs or optimize project schedule
• Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion, within budget and to program.
• Effectively manage own time which may be necessary if allocated to more than one project
• Maintain and develop the specific know-how pertaining to the Structural Engineering
• Prepare pre-calculation for quantity estimate purpose during bid phase
• Support Chief Civil & Structural Engineer in coordinating external engineering resources.
• Support the Chief Civil & Structural Engineer in case of dispute/claims related to the Structural Engineering.

• Civil & Structural Engineering background
• Deep Knowledge of major international Civil & Structural Codes
• Deep Structural calculation knowledge
• Deep knowledge of structural calculation software
• Experience in Civil Engineering for large EPC/Energy projects
• Specific competence in Geotechnical field (optional but important plus)
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Minimum 5-year-experience in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering for large EPC/Energy projects
• Bachelor/Master Degree in Civil Engineering
