We are looking for a Sustainable Urban Planning Associate Consultant to join our thriving Strategy & Advisory division in Dubai. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated urban planner seeking a dynamic role within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and urban planning consultancy services with a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive the market towards more sustainable development.

The successful candidate will form part of AESGs dynamic Strategy & Advisory Consultancy division located in our Dubai headquarters. The role will include delivering strategy and advisory consultancy services to AESGs clients to exemplar levels of quality with focus on sustainability, net zero, decarbonisation or urban planning.

Responsibilities:

Independently manage part of the Strategy & Advisory team (around themes of net zero, decarbonisation or sustainability advisory) while reporting to the Partner/Director

Independently manage complex projects and resolve complex project issues

Generating multiple instances of repeat work with clients around the themes of net zero, decarbonisation and sustainability

Preparation of proposals and seeking and winning new work with existing clients

Client-orientated and consistently contributes to the commercial success of the division

Contribute towards the continued growth of the Middle East strategic advisory team, through development of technical capabilities and supporting work-winning

Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members

Industry leadership through participation in industry professional groups and conferences

Essential Skills:

Degree in relevant Architecture, Civil / Mechanical Engineering or Sustainable Development

Masters Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience in project management of strategic advisory projects

Problem-solving capabilities to enable the resolution of complex issues

Client relationship management, able to develop a strong network with both clients and peers within the industry

Technical expertise in discipline with successful delivery of projects with high level of positive customer feedback

Ability to devise and develop pragmatic solutions, support and resolve complex project challenges

Understanding of commercials and contracts

Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to reason, read and adapt to address a broad audience with comfort and presence

Demonstrates strategic thinking, organized planning capacity

The candidate will be expected to work across numerous software platforms, including Microsoft Office

Familiar with project consultation, in both design and construction stages
