Strategic Planning Manager

Job Description
The Strategic Planner role reports to the Vice President of Measurement solutions Middle East & Africa, with responsibilities pertaining to supporting development of company strategies around growth, profitability, and operational excellence. What will be my primary responsibilities in this role:
- Drive the development of the Annual Strategic Plan and Value Creation Plan working with business leaders and product line leadership, and help ensure functional and regional alignment to enable execution:
- Conduct research into strategic growth areas for the world area, including data gathering both internal and external, development of forecast models, use-case scenario identification and assessment of third-party research firms
- Guide the development of growth programs that enable Measurement Solutions to achieve results consistently above market
- Will be called upon on an ad-hoc basis to lead special short-term projects to support the Strategic Plan execution
- Partner and support the regional sales leaders in driving financial performances, managing and leading key business processes including the President Operating Report (POR) and financial forecasts.
- Advise business leadership of opportunities and risks impacting business performance.
- Develop and maintain business / market intelligence, sales analysis and corresponding presentations to identify and capitalize on the most advantageous macro business trends, and align the business to dynamic end market conditions.
- Be the key content developer for strategic communication events for the World Area such as Board Meetings, Growth Reviews, Operational Reviews, All-Employee Meetings, etc.
- Develop and present business strategies at an executive level.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in related fields including Engineering, Business Management, and/or Finance.
- MBA is a definite requirement
- 3-5 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Strategic Consulting, Business and Financial Analysis \xe2\x80\x93 Experience preferred in process automation or industrial automation industries.
- Automation or Energy Industry experience is definitely required
- Financial acumen and business case analysis/justification development
- Ability to balance multiple assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
