We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Storekeeper with a strong background in the food and beverage (Food & Beverage) industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in inventory management, stock control, and procurement of F&B items. As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing storage, maintaining stock levels, ensuring food safety compliance, and coordinating with suppliers to support smooth kitchen and service operations. Preference is given to immediate joiners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory & Stock Control:
Maintain accurate records of all F&B stock, including dry goods, perishables, and beverages.
Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) methods for proper stock rotation.
Conduct regular stock checks and audits to prevent shortages, overstocking, and waste.
Monitor usage trends and ensure timely stock replenishment.
2. Receiving & Inspection:
Verify and inspect incoming food and beverage supplies, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
Check deliveries against purchase orders and invoices, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
Ensure proper storage conditions for different food categories, maintaining hygiene and temperature control.
3. Supplier Coordination & Procurement Support
:
Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and beverages.
Assist the procurement team in sourcing cost-effective and high-quality products.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate better pricing and delivery schedules.
4. Store Organization & Hygiene Compliance:
Ensure the storage areas meet food safety and hygiene standards, following HACCP guidelines.
Maintain clean, well-organized, and properly labeled stock to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.
Dispose of expired or damaged goods according to company policy.
5. Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain detailed inventory reports, including stock levels, consumption rates, and wastage.
Prepare weekly and monthly stock reports for management review.
Ensure all transactions are recorded in the inventory management system.
6. Team Supervision & Training
:
Lead and supervise assistant storekeepers and store assistants.
Train team members on proper stock handling, hygiene standards, and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 5 years experience in storekeeping within the F&B industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, food safety regulations (HACCP), and stock management.
Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Excel for tracking and reporting.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with multiple departments.
