Storekeeper
Job Summary:
The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing all hotel supplies, including food, beverages, linens, cleaning materials, and operational equipment. This role is vital for inventory control, cost management, and ensuring all departments have the necessary items to function efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries for quantity and quality, verifying against purchase orders.
• Accurately record received items in the inventory system.
• Safely and systematically store all items in the appropriate storage areas (dry goods, refrigerated, frozen).
• Issue supplies to various departments (e.g., kitchen, housekeeping, F&B) upon presentation of a authorized requisition form.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory levels.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with system records.
• Rotate stock using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Keep all storage areas clean, organized, and secure, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Report low stock levels, discrepancies, and damaged goods to the purchasing manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a storekeeper, store assistant, or in a similar inventory control role.
• Knowledge of proper storage procedures and FIFO principles.
• Good physical condition to handle heavy items and operate equipment like pallet jacks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math and computer skills for managing inventory logs.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a storage environment.
