to manage site inventory, handle material receipts and issues, and ensure efficient storage and stock control. The Store Keeper will play a critical role in maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting construction site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and tools at the site.
Verify quantities, quality, and documentation of deliveries against purchase orders.
Organize, label, and store materials systematically to ensure easy retrieval.
Maintain up-to-date stock records (manual and/or digital) for all materials, tools, and consumables.
Issue materials to site teams as per approved requisitions and record transactions accurately.
Monitor and report stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
Coordinate with procurement and project teams for timely material supply.
Ensure proper handling, preservation, and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with records.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store area.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent; a diploma in storekeeping, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
2+ years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Knowledge of construction materials and tools is desirable.
Basic computer skills; experience with inventory software is a plus.
Physically fit and able to lift materials as required.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
High attention to detail and integrity.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily site-based; may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
May be required to work extended hours depending on project needs.
