Storekeeper
Overview:
A Storekeeper is responsible for managing and overseeing all activities within a warehouse or storeroom. Their primary duty is to receive, store, record, and issue materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring accurate inventory levels and a well-organized storage facility.
Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving Goods: Unload delivery trucks, verify received quantities against purchase orders, and inspect items for damage.
• Inventory Management: Store items in an organized manner, update inventory records in the system, and conduct regular cycle counts and physical stocktakes.
• Issuing Materials: Dispense tools, parts, and materials to employees or departments upon request, following established procedures (e.g., via requisition slips).
• Stock Rotation: Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) systems to prevent obsolescence and spoilage.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
• Reporting: Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
• Tool Management: Manage the check-in/check-out process for tools and equipment, ensuring their return in good condition.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. A certification in warehouse management is a plus.
• Previous experience as a storekeeper, warehouse worker, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and barcode scanners.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
