Urgent requirement for Storage Engineer to be based in Romania for a major IT vendor. As a Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our storage infrastructure. Your expertise in storage technologies such as VMax, PMax, VNX, IBM SVC, Brocade Director, ECS, and NetApp will be crucial in ensuring optimal performance, availability, and scalability of our storage systems. Responsibilities: Administration: Monitors, reviews, and manages in scope infrastructure. Manages user requests. Manages and reviews log files. Generates regular operational reports.
Change Management: Performs software/firmware management assistance and collaboration. Implements change management requests. Assists with solution documentation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the compliance manager(s) and with key stakeholders. Manages migration activities (monitor reports).

Post Implementation Planning and Knowledge Sharing: Performs transition planning with deployment team. Performs incremental host and network configuration beyond deployment scope. Implements Dell EMC System Management Tools.
Problem Management: Isolates and troubleshoots incidents. Performs service incident coordination. Opens service requests on behalf of the Customer. Participates in root cause analysis review.
Continual Service Improvement: Recommends procedure changes that result in operational optimisation. Shares best practices from other engagements. Provides performance tuning recommendations.
Change Evaluation and Recommendations: Assists with the solution documentation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the compliance manager(s) and with other key stakeholders
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Storage Engineer, specializing in technologies such as VMax, PMax, VNX, IBM SVC, Brocade Director, ECS, and NetApp.
• In-depth knowledge of storage protocols and technologies, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS/SMB, RAID, snapshot, replication, and deduplication.
• Strong understanding of storage virtualization concepts and experience with virtualization platforms.
• Proficiency in storage management tools, monitoring solutions, and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery technologies, disaster recovery planning, and data protection mechanisms.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and experience with network-attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) environments.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex storage issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
