Overview

***This position will support APS5 and it is contingent upon award***

Supervises and leads a team in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and disposing of Government Furnished and Contractor Acquired Material. Mentors and develops subordinate leaders. Coordinates and supervises monthly 10% cyclic inventory, 100% annual inventory, and monthly location surveys. Process MAXIMO transactions and verify accuracy of records. Supervise up to 20 direct/indirect reports. Prepare and submit reports to the Materiel Manager providing detailed information on routine and special reports.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

+ Supervises warehouse operation with multi-million dollars' worth of stock

+ Supervise a 24hr and 7 days a week operation.

+ Mentors and develops subordinate leaders.

+ Ensures adequate storage space allocation for on hand and inbound material.

+ Operates and manipulates data in various commercial and military computer systems. This requires broad based understanding of system operations and analytical skills necessary to interpret the data resulting in cost savings or loss mitigation.

+ Interfaces with internal and external auditors

+ Ensures locations are properly marked, matched and recorded in MAXIMO.

+ Supervise a team to accomplish provided tasks to standard.

+ Supervises the transportation of supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck as required.

+ Responsible for Physical Security of material under his/her control that are stored in accordance with the FAR and local policy.

+ Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive and Pilferable Items and ensure they are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy.

+ Make adjustments to inventory/location of stored stock. Determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.

+ Ensure material is being maintained appropriately.

+ Identify Excess material in stock and request disposition accordingly.

+ Prepare, read and analyze records and reports necessary to execute actions routinely.

+ Perform other duties as required.

+ Must be able to access secure locations.

Qualifications

+ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ High school graduate or equivalent.

+ Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal

+ Experience:

+ 4 years of experience in Material Management. Related Military experience in Supply and Logistics

+ 2 years supervisory experience at the team level or higher

+ Functional, comprehensive working knowledge of the Federal Acquisitions Regulations for Material/Property Management

+ Working knowledge of supply chain operations and inventory management is required.

+ DESIRED SKILLS:

+ NPMA, Certified Professional Property Specialist or above

+ Strong- knowledge level of automated financial and accounting systems. AS400 experience is desired.

+ Maximo system experience is desired.

+ Experience in military or commercial supply management system. GCSS-Army and DLA Program experience is desired.

+ Ability to develop training materials using the latest electronic tools and deliver training to a multinational work force with varying language skills.

+ Former Army Supply E-7 or above. Former Army Supply Warrant Officer

+ Material Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck)

+ Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills

+ Supervisory Training

+ Strong analytical skills

+ WMS experience with Maximo, SAP, Oracle or similar systems

+ Customer service training

+ WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

+ Work is generally conducted out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules

+ PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

+ Individual should be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Work will on occasion involve stooping; prolonged standing, climbing balancing and lifting.
