Supervise stewarding staff during assigned shifts
Assign daily tasks and ensure proper completion
Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, dishwashing areas, storage rooms, and equipment
Ensure correct use and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Enforce food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
Monitor dishwashing operations to ensure efficiency and quality
Support kitchen and service teams during peak periods
Train new stewarding team members and coach existing staff
Report maintenance issues, shortages, or safety concerns to management
Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures
Complete basic shift reports and handovers
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen operations
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Physically able to stand for long periods and handle manual tasks
Good communication and teamwork skills
