The Steel Structure Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, fabrication supervision, and installation of steel structures, ensuring full compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, quality requirements, and safety regulations within marine and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and validate steel structure designs, drawings, and calculations
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards
- Supervise fabrication, welding, and erection activities
- Coordinate with design, production, and operations teams
- Verify material specifications and ensure correct application
- Monitor project progress and resolve technical challenges
- Conduct inspections and enforce quality control standards
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE and safety regulations
- Provide technical guidance to foremen and technicians
- Prepare technical reports and update management on progress and issues
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in steel structure design, detailing, and execution
- Strong knowledge of steel structure design and structural analysis
- Excellent ability to read and interpret structural drawings & specifications
- Solid understanding of fabrication, welding, and erection processes
- Proficiency in engineering software: ( AutoCAD, 3ds Max )
- Knowledge of load calculations, weight distribution, and structural integrity
- Ability to troubleshoot site and fabrication-related issues
- Experience in marine or industrial structures is a strong advantage
- High attention to detail with a strong quality-driven mindset
