Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, sanding, blasting, or chemical treatment to remove rust, scale, and old paint.
Apply primers, intermediate and topcoat paints using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment (e.g., airless spray).
Mix and thin paint according to specifications and safety guidelines.
Work at heights, confined spaces, or elevated platforms as needed.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow painting procedures and specifications as per project or client requirements (e.g., SSPC/NACE standards).
REQUIREMENTS :
Proven experience as a steel or industrial painter.
Knowledge of different types of paints and coating materials (epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich primers, etc.).
Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in challenging environments.
Basic understanding of workplace safety, hazardous material handling, and environmental protection.
