Overview

ALTA VITA is seeking a skilled and experienced Steelfixer Chargehand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and executing the work of steelfixers in the installation of rebar for reinforced concrete structures (RCC). The role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure high quality workmanship and safety standards on site.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of steelfixers in the installation of rebar for various RCC structures.

- Ensure that all work is executed according to project specifications and quality standards.

- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to guide the team in accurate installations.

- Provide hands on assistance and guidance to steelfixers as needed to resolve any technical challenges on-site.

- Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

- Conduct regular inspections of materials and work performed to ensure quality and adherence to schedules.

- Maintain effective communication with site management, providing updates on progress and any issues that arise.

- Train and mentor junior steelfixers to enhance their skills and knowledge in rebar installation.

- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure efficient workflow and coordination on site.

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

- 5 Years proven experience as a steelfixer, with previous supervisory experience preferred.

- In depth knowledge of rebar installation techniques and RCC structures.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical documents.

- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in construction.

- Relevant certifications in construction or related fields are a plus.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
