Job Description

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to fabricate metal components. Cut, bend, weld, and shape metal pieces using tools such as saws, torches, and welding machines. Assemble metal structures and ensure accuracy in dimensions and alignment. Collaborate with project teams to install fabricated metal items on-site, including frames, partitions, railings, or decorative elements. Ensure installations meet safety standards, design specifications, and client expectations. Select appropriate metals and materials based on project requirements. Prepare metal surfaces for fabrication and finishing by cleaning, grinding, or polishing. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards. Address and rectify any defects or discrepancies during fabrication or installation. Operate and maintain fabrication tools and machinery in good working condition. Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow workplace safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and mitigate risks during fabrication and installation processes Work closely with the head of steel division and site operatives to ensure seamless integration of metal components with overall fit-out designs. Provide input on design feasibility and suggest improvements where necessary.
