Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, SDS/2).
Create accurate shop drawings for fabrication and erection drawings for construction.
Review and Interpret Blueprints:
Interpret architectural and structural engineering blueprints and plans.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with the Project Team:
Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with fabrication shops and construction teams to resolve design and detailing issues.
Quality Assurance:
Check and verify dimensions, materials, and finishes of steel components.
Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and are free from errors.
Material Take-offs and Lists:
Generate accurate material take-offs and bills of materials (BOM).
Provide detailed lists for procurement and fabrication.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support and guidance to fabrication and construction teams.
Address and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication and erection process.
