The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to steakhouse standards, with a strong focus on steak execution, consistency, speed, and hygiene. The role is hands-on and essential to delivering high-quality dishes during high-volume service.
Required Skills & Competencies
Basic to intermediate knowledge of steakhouse cooking
Understanding of steak doneness levels and meat handling
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good knife skills and station organization
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 1-3 years experience as a Line Cook
Steakhouse or grill-based restaurant experience preferred
Basic food safety knowledge (HACCP awareness)
Culinary training or certification is an advantage
