The Stacker Operator is responsible for operating the stacking equipment used to pile and organize steel bars after rolling. The role ensures accurate stacking, smooth production flow, and proper handling of finished products.
Key Responsibilities
Operate automatic or semi-automatic stacking machines in the rolling mill.
Ensure bars are stacked correctly according to size, grade, and production requirements.
Monitor equipment performance and make basic adjustments as needed.
Identify and report mechanical or operational issues immediately.
Coordinate with mill floor operators, cooling bed teams, and loading crews.
Maintain proper documentation of stacked material quantities.
Ensure safe operation, especially around moving machinery and hot products.
Follow safety standards and maintain cleanliness in the stacking area.
Requirements
ITI/Diploma or industrial experience preferred.
1-3 years of experience
in steel plants or industrial machinery operation.
Ability to operate stacking machines or similar equipment.
Good understanding of steel sizes, grades, and production processes.
Physically fit and comfortable working in hot environments.
Safety-conscious with attention to detail.
