JOINERY DRAFTSMAN/DETAILER

What You'll Do:

Calculate

dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials

Design and Drafting:

Create detailed joinery drawings and technical specifications using CAD software. You'll be responsible for ensuring designs are precise, accurate, and ready for production.

Collaboration:

Work closely with architects, interior designers, and production teams to understand design concepts and transform them into clear, workable plans.

Material and Hardware Selection:

Assist in specifying materials, finishes, and hardware that align with design goals and project budgets.

Quality Control:

Ensure all drawings meet company standards and client requirements. Attention to detail is critical to ensuring accuracy and quality.

Project Coordination:

Work with project managers and production teams to make sure that the designs are implemented smoothly, adhering to timelines and project specifications.

Problem-Solving:

Address any design challenges or issues that arise during the design and production stages, providing effective solutions to ensure projects stay on track.

Key Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience in joinery design/drafting (experience in the interior design or construction industry is a plus). Strong knowledge of CAD software, especially AutoCAD or similar. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and fabrication processes is a bonus.
