Job Purpose
Develop specification of AkzoNobel products by managing a portfolio of specifiers (architects, consultants, designers, fabricators, etc…), Need To maintain the current specification and work strongly in following all the specification deeply with the subcontractors .This position is responsible for 25% of the Monthly sales in the business. on average 20M Euro Annually , to make sure that the specification is in line with the efforts done in the last 2.5 years strengthening the hard work and to develop more the brand in the specification cycle.
Key Accountabilities
Use appropriate source of information (web, magazines, net works) to identify proposed architectural projects
Advise architects in their specifications
Secure specification of AkzoNobel products
Follow up architectural projects stage by stage till application
Build relation to all companies involved in the specification process
Deliver lectures to specifiers
Presentations to architects and fabricators to strengthen the awareness of the brand
Liaise with SBU EE/ME counterpart to ensure a coordinated approach to international specifiers
Develop and maintain his local specifier data bases
Regular customer visits across the sales territory fabricators contractors to secure specification
To build a relationship with the major users (applicators)
Regular visit reporting
Report Monthly the project sales and the target building in line with the set budget
Prepare and maintain database including Architects and specifiiers information
Ensures compliance with legal and corporate standards, policies and local regulations in job related terms in full compliance with “In control” requirements including Export Controls
Experience
A graduate, preferably with business school or with and architecture degree
Excellent communications skills (writing, presenting, speaking) in international context, with fluency in English
Has experience in specification selling
Sales experience in coatings, preferably powder, is an advantage
Experience in the aluminum building industry will be an advantage
Strong leadership skills, good communicator who can make themselves heard at all levels in complex organisations.
Politically astute enough to recognise the competing influencers in complex client organisations and manage this dynamic to our interests.
Must have good “relationship selling” skills, and be a strong negotiator with good closing skills
Creative, self-motivated, energetic and determined
Numerate, financially astute and also experienced in using
Knowledge of IT Windows applications & e-comms tools
