Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Export Control Officer, where you'll lead the charge in securing global trade operations. This pivotal role ensures robust oversight of inbound/outbound flows, regulatory adherence, and seamless risk mitigation. You'll drive strategic screening, KYS/KYC due diligence, and policy execution while coordinating with EDGE HQ and Legal & Compliance teams. From crafting airtight contractual safeguards to monitoring sanctioned entities and evolving regulations, you'll be the linchpin of legal integrity and operational excellence. Key Accountabilities:

  • EC Officer role ensuring robust control of inbound and outbound activities, mitigating risks and maintaining seamless operations.
  • Approve flows (GoImport/GoExport) and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure Regulatory Adherence reinforcing Legal and Operational integrity.
  • Transaction Security & Risk Control
  • Strategic Screening & Due Diligence
  • Regulatory Intelligence & Industry Alignment
  • Contractual Safeguards & Policy Integration
  • Legal Coordination & Advisory on Export Control
  • Act as focal point with EDGE HQ or entities Legal & Compliance teams
  • Policy Execution & Continuous Monitoring
  • Supporting operations related to sanctioned countries through risk-based decision-making
  • Continuously monitor evolving laws and policies
  • Constant oversight of recipient countries, entities and people, mitigating compliance risks with regards to Sanctions and Embargos.
  • Ensure precise development of Export Control clauses in procurement and sales contracts, reinforcing trade security and export control compliance
  • Conduct targeted "on-demand" screenings (KYS/KYC) to assess risk/responsible engagement.
Supporting Accountabilities:
  • Active support to EDGE Export Control Office establishment as core function
  • Provide expert guidance to Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commercial functions, safeguarding regulatory adherence in critical operations.
  • Ease SCM strategy w/suppliers
  • Support EDGE Entities in achieving full compliance with national and international regulations
  • Contribute to Export Control Leadership & Network Engagement
  • Ease Directive Implementation & Compliance Monitoring
  • Participate to Trainings delivery
  • Ensure Cross-team collaboration
  • Implement Regulatory Authorization & Reporting
  • Ensure Government Liaison & Business Support
Experience & Education Qualifications:
  • Master in law Or Engineer graduate w/proven regulations mastering Or Proven equivalence in formal education
  • 10 years background in Legal, Compliance or Regulations Transformation Management
  • Legal profile, knowledge about sanctions and embargoes is an asset
  • Knowledge of the applicable regulations within the GCC & Europe markets
  • Geopolitical analysis capability
  • Diplomacy / pedagogy complimented by proven negotiation skills
  • Decision-making/initiative
  • Standard MS-Office Suite, MS-Visio,
  • Screening solution (e.g., Descartes, Catalyst, OpenSanctions
  • Professional English
