About the Role:
Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure
to oversee the commercial management of large-scale infrastructure projects across the UAE. This role focuses on
cost/value management, contract administration, valuations, variations, new rates, and final accounts/measurements
, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and in compliance with contractual standards. UAE experience is highly preferred, though candidates from outside the UAE with strong relevant experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor project budgets, cost/value control systems, and cash flow forecasts.
Prepare and submit interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
Administer contracts in accordance with
FIDIC Red/Yellow Book
and local regulations.
Assess and value variations, new rates, and change orders.
Support resolution of contractual and commercial disputes.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Provide regular financial performance reports to Senior Management.
Mentor and guide junior QS team members.
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of infrastructure construction methods and cost/value management.
Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and UAE-specific procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
High attention to detail with a methodical approach.
Proficient in QS software (Candy, CCS, CostX, Excel, ERP systems).
Experience in cost/value reporting and presentation to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
8-10+ years of experience
as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within UAE infrastructure projects.
Proven track record on large-scale projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, metro, or airports.
Strong knowledge of UAE market rates, suppliers, and regulatory requirements.
Professional membership (MRICS or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.
Desirable Attributes:
Arabic language skills (advantageous but not essential).
Familiarity with digital QS tools and
BIM integration
.
