Senior Quantity Surveyor
to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
The
Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS)
will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning, control, and contract administration for facade and aluminum projects. This role is integral to ensuring project profitability through accurate estimations, proactive variation management, and tight budgetary oversight. The QS will collaborate closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:Cost Estimation & Budgeting
Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for materials, labor, and resources specific to facade and aluminum systems.
Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation in accordance with project specifications.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and value engineering.
Work with project managers to develop reliable cost forecasts and mitigate financial risks.
Quantity Surveying
Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings.
Prepare comprehensive
Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
and unit rate schedules for tenders and procurement.
Analyze and assess incoming quotations; support negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
Track and manage project variations, issuing change orders and cost/time impact assessments.
Cost Control & Reporting
Monitor project costs against budgets and control financial performance throughout execution.
Provide detailed cost reports, financial projections, and variance analyses to senior management.
Recommend cost-saving opportunities and lead value engineering exercises.
Contract Administration
Draft, review, and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and service providers.
Ensure full compliance with contract terms, and manage claims or disputes as they arise.
Coordinate final account settlements and contract close-out procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Quantity Surveying
,
Construction Management
, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum
5 years of relevant experience
specifically in the
facade and aluminum industry
.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in
CostX
,
Bluebeam
, and
MS Excel
(or equivalent estimation and QS software).
Strong ability to interpret and analyze architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
