Construction background to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee cost control, prepare and review BOQs, manage variations, and ensure accurate cost planning and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities will preparation of monthly payment certificates, quantify and ascertain the work done by Subcontractor, and ensuring their compliance with the stipulation of subcontract agreements in terms of cost and time. Collaboration with project teams and stakeholders will be crucial to maintain efficiency and address any financial concerns effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum
8-12 years of experience
in quantity surveying, preferably within the UAE construction industry.
Strong knowledge of
FIDIC contracts
, cost control, and commercial management.
Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Management to ensure effective project budget monitoring and optimization.
Ability to quantify and price variations to the original contract and prepare a detailed variation request submission
Experience in preparing and reviewing BOQs for accurate project planning and cost evaluation.
Strong capabilities in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting, ensuring all financial aspects of projects are managed efficiently and transparently.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, Excel).
RICS certification is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
