Senior Producer - Documentaries

Al Jazeera Media Network are seeking a Senior Producer to join their Award winning documentaries team, as a Senior Producer you will be responsible for leading a team on full Production stages and commissioning bodies globally and also leading the film-making for vital editorial stories.

Key Responsibilities:

Research, film and edit top stories/episodes. Assign work to team members for different stories and find creative solutions for daily problems. Create long term plans for annual series and programs. Suggest new ideas and angles for stories to be covered. Analyze and evaluate program ideas in writing and incorporate evaluations of the team. Review and authorize solutions. Follow up on details of production process with in-field teams during all stages and contribute to solving problems and advice while in filed filming or editing. Incorporate all team work during Production stage including watching 1st, 2nd and 3rd rough cuts and suggest alterations in structure, editorially and artistically. Follow up on logistics with AJN in all stages. Coordinate with AJN different programs sections for adaptation/reversion. Authorize final acceptance of episodes. Process invoices to AJN Finance. Open new opportunities to commissioning in new fields and countries

Education:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Media, Communication or other related fields.

Experience:

* Minimum 7 years of professional experience in field and/or commissioning or related field.
