Requirements:
Engineering Degree, Min 8 years of experience in offshore EPC planning.
Expertise in project planning, scheduling, resource allocation & reporting
Experience in EPC project particularly mechanical projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Scheduling
Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Prepare and update the project master schedule and monitor progress against milestones.
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate schedules and ensure that timelines are realistic and achievable.
Establish work breakdown structures (WBS) to track project phases.
2. Progress Monitoring and Reporting
Monitor project progress and identify deviations from the original plan.
Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders, including the client, senior management, and project teams.
Conduct periodic project review meetings to assess performance, identify risks, and suggest corrective actions.
3. Resource Allocation and Management
Allocate resources (personnel, materials, and equipment) effectively across project phases.
Ensure that offshore teams are properly staffed, and monitor resource utilization to avoid delays.
4. Risk Management
Identify potential risks to the schedule, budget, or quality of the project and work with the project management team to mitigate these risks.
Update schedules with risk mitigation strategies, and highlight potential impacts.
Assess delays and propose solutions to recover lost time or prevent future delays.
5. Collaboration and Coordination
Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and construction managers to ensure proper coordination between all project aspects.
Ensure that all stakeholders are informed of any schedule changes or potential impacts.
6. Change Management
Evaluate the impact of any scope changes or design modifications on the project schedule.
Update schedules accordingly and communicate these changes to the project team and stakeholders.
7. Client and Stakeholder Communication
Present schedule updates and reports to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
Provide explanations on any delays, risk factors, and corrective actions taken.
8. Document Control
Maintain and manage project planning documentation, ensuring that all schedules, reports, and project updates are properly stored and easy to retrieve.
9. Team Leadership and Training
Mentor and guide junior planning engineers and support them in developing their technical and scheduling skills.
Foster teamwork and maintain a high level of performance and productivity among the planning team.
