to lead the design, execution, and supervision of mechanical systems for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong UAE project experience, in-depth knowledge of local codes and standards, and proven leadership skills in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, review, and approval of mechanical systems including
HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage systems
Manage mechanical works from
design stage through construction, testing, and commissioning
Coordinate with
consultants, contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplines
Ensure compliance with
UAE authorities' regulations
(DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, Estidama, etc.)
Review and approve
shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical reports
Supervise site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards
Identify design or site issues and provide effective technical solutions
Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules related to mechanical works
Lead and mentor junior engineers and site teams
Attend technical meetings with clients and authorities
Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and risk mitigation on site
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in
Mechanical Engineering
(Master's degree is a plus)
Minimum
10 years of experience in the UAE is mandatory
, with
strong UAE project exposure
Experience in
high-rise buildings, commercial, residential, hospitality, or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of
ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, BS, and local UAE codes
Proficiency in
AutoCAD, Revit MEP
, and other engineering software
Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Professional certification (PMP, CEng, or equivalent) is an advantage
