Sr. Mechanical Engineer - MEP Projects1. Project Planning & Coordination

Lead the planning and execution of all

mechanical systems

(HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, etc.) as per project timelines. Review and validate

design drawings

,

shop drawings

, and

as-built drawings

in coordination with consultants and design teams. Coordinate with

architects, structural, electrical, civil

, and other MEP disciplines for integrated services. Ensure all mechanical works comply with project specifications, authority regulations (DCD, DEWA, DM), and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA).

2. Site Execution & Supervision

Supervise site activities, monitor

installation, testing, and commissioning

of mechanical systems. Verify that works are executed according to approved

drawings

,

method statements

, and

quality standards

. Conduct

site inspections

, resolve technical issues, and ensure smooth progress with minimal delays. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.

3. Material & Procurement Management

Review and approve

material submittals

,

product datasheets

, and

samples

in line with project requirements. Coordinate with procurement for

BOQ validation

,

material delivery schedules

, and

vendor approvals

. Manage

inventory control

and track material utilization at the site.

4. Testing & Commissioning

Plan and oversee

testing and commissioning

activities for HVAC systems, chilled water systems, firefighting pumps, water supply systems, etc. Liaise with third-party agencies and consultants for witnessing tests and obtaining final approvals. Ensure system integration and handover documentation are properly completed.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and review

technical reports

,

progress reports

,

daily site logs

, and

inspection requests

(IRs). Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE departments for ensuring compliance and safety standards. Support in preparing

O&M manuals

,

as-built drawings

, and

handover documents

.

6. Client & Consultant Coordination

Attend regular

progress meetings

,

technical workshops

, and

coordination meetings

with clients, consultants, and main contractors. Address and resolve

snags, design discrepancies

, and technical clarifications. Assist in

variation claims

value engineering

, and

project close-out activities

.

7. Team Management

Mentor junior engineers and technicians, assign responsibilities, and monitor their performance. Ensure all mechanical staff adhere to safety, quality, and productivity standards on site.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
