: Review and analyze facility performance to identify key improvement areas.
Opportunity Identification
: Spot opportunities to boost efficiency and productivity.
Plan Execution Monitoring
: Oversee the implementation of improvement plans to ensure success.
Assistant Manager Support
: Aid the Assistant Manager in his role as Asset Manager.
Strategic Engagement
: Collaborate with QatarEnergy senior management and JV board members to drive strategic initiatives.
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience
: A minimum of 15 years in the aluminium or steelmaking industries, specifically in an operational environment. Preferably, this includes plant management experience with direct exposure to commercial and business development activities.
Project Expertise
: Proven experience in major project design, with a solid understanding of project execution strategies and multidisciplinary engineering activities.
Financial Acumen
: Strong knowledge of discounted cash flow valuation methods and metrics, including NPV, IRR, and financial metrics such as ROCE.
Educational Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an internationally recognized university is required. A higher academic qualification is preferred, and chartered engineering status is highly desirable.
