About the Role As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for advanced UAV systems. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless industrialization of UAVs from concept to production, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet stringent aerospace standards. Lead the development and industrialization of UAV manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with design, quality, production, programs, and supply chain teams to ensure product manufacturability and scalability.
Participate in concurrent engineering initiatives and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) efforts during new product development.
Estimate non-recurring costs for tools, process design, and capacity planning for manufacturing lines.
Oversee documentation, including BOMs, WKIs, routing, tooling specifications, and ensure alignment with QMS standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline production workflows.
Support and mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance across departments.
Collaborate with suppliers on tooling, composite manufacturing techniques, and production readiness.
Drive root cause analysis, PFMEA, GD&T, and corrective actions to address manufacturing challenges.
Participate in MRB processes and uphold quality standards throughout all phases of production.
What You'll Bring Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or mechanical engineering.
5 - 7 years extensive experience in manufacturing engineering-preferably in aerospace or UAV domains.
Strong background in composite manufacturing, integration, and testing.
Familiarity with CATIA and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Knowledge of manufacturing standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
Experience in PFMEA, GD&T, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools (Lean, Kaizen).
Solid understanding of quality assurance protocols and safety regulations for aerospace products.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
Operating Environment
80% office-based, 20% factory environment.
Must be adaptable to shifting priorities, with occasional travel and field support during UAV testing.
