Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in coordination with Design, Procurement, and Finance teams.
Conduct site visits to verify quantities, take measurements, and monitor project progress as required.
Check and review site requisitions, comparing them against the approved BOQ to avoid discrepancies.
Prepare competitive quotations and tender submissions in line with project requirements.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and negotiate for optimum pricing and terms.
Prepare cost comparison sheets and recommend cost-effective options.
Submit, negotiate, and manage contract variations, additional works, snags, and maintenance orders.
Track changes in design or construction work and adjust budgets accordingly.
Assist in preparing and submitting progress payment applications and final account settlements.
Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve cost-related issues.
Maintain updated records of BOQs, variation orders, and material usage reports.
Support procurement by providing updated material requirements and price data.
Ensure compliance with UAE Municipality and Civil Defense requirements
Keep abreast of UAE market prices for building materials, labor, and equipment.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/ BSc in Quantity Surveyor.
5+ years of UAE experience in QS and estimation roles within the construction sector.
Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, and Plan Swift.
Strong understanding of UAE market rates, tender processes, and local regulations.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
