Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified

Senior Process Engineer -Chemical Engineering

to join our

multinational client's Oil & Gas engineering team in Qatar

. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in

greenfield and brownfield engineering

, with specific expertise in offshore and wellhead platform projects. This role involves providing technical leadership, overseeing design deliverables, and ensuring compliance with international and client-specific standards.

The position offers long-term stability with opportunities to work on prestigious Oil & Gas projects while leading multi-discipline teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee

detailed chemical engineering activities

for offshore and onshore projects. Prepare and review

process simulation, line sizing, Offshore Wellhead P&IDs, Cause & Effect matrices, process philosophies, datasheets, and operating manuals

. Utilize software tools such as

Aspen HYSYS

and

Aspen FlareNet

for process design and simulation. Review

vendor deliverables

and coordinate with vendors on technical packages, MR, TBE, and TQs. Actively participate in

design reviews and safety workshops

, ensuring compliance with project requirements. Interact with

multi-disciplinary teams

across offices and multiple locations to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Engage in

client discussions and workshops

, providing technical expertise and leadership. Ensure adherence to

QatarEnergy standards, Shell DEPs, API Standards, and other international codes

applicable to chemical engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering

from an accredited university.

Minimum 10 years of experience

in detailed engineering for Oil & Gas projects (greenfield and brownfield), including offshore and wellhead platforms. At least

5 years' experience in brownfield modification projects

in offshore Oil & Gas facilities.

3+ years' experience as a Senior Discipline Engineer

in similar projects. Strong knowledge of

industry practices, tools, codes, and standards

(QatarEnergy / Shell DEPs, API, etc.). Hands-on experience in

Aspen HYSYS

and

Aspen FlareNet

. Proven experience in

design reviews, safety workshops, vendor deliverables, MR, TBE, and TQ processes

. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills to interact with

multi-disciplinary and client teams

.
