Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled

Application Engineer - Mechanical

with a strong background in

HVAC or Chiller systems

. The successful candidate will play a key role in product customization, work order processing, documentation for certifications, and coordination with software and quality teams to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Improvements & Development

Compare products against competitors for benchmarking and improvement. Communicate with suppliers for technical compliance of new components. Participate in the design and configuration of new products. Optimize design and cost through competitive analysis.

Customization & CRF (Contract Review Form) Handling

Customize products per customer requirements through CRF. Prepare technical data and drawings for non-standard items. Use CRF/job history to guide new designs. Provide technical data for project submittals.

Work Order Processing

Prepare work orders for standard and custom jobs. Select appropriate or alternative materials to meet specifications and improve delivery. Review and verify draughtsman drawings. Maintain job history and handle modification requests. Coordinate with OPT and Sales teams for related issues.

Product Certification & Documentation

Prepare and organize documents for certification processes. Coordinate with quality, procurement, and other departments.

Technical Literature & Data Management

Develop catalogs, IOMs, technical data sheets, and specification sheets. Assign and maintain SKM item codes as per nomenclature.

Software Evaluation & Coordination

Evaluate new selection software and catalog rating systems. Maintain and compare supplier software. Enhance SKM selection/design software in collaboration with the software team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3-6 years of experience in HVAC or Chiller system applications. Strong knowledge of mechanical components, product lifecycle, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with CRFs, ERP systems, and engineering drawings. Strong documentation and communication skills.
