Our client, one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading sports resorts, is looking for a Sports Operations Manager (Motorsports, Watersports, Recreation) to join their team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This role is to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the departments, which include: To oversee staff management, operational requirements, fulfilment of all physical and written safety requirements, and making sure of the completion of reports by the respective supervisors/managers for smooth functioning of the departments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible to make sure that Motorsports, Recreation, and Watersports regularly update all Policies and Procedures related to their department.
Initial and approve the rosters to make sure the maintenance and operations are adequately covered.
Establish a daily safety inspection schedule before the operations and such inspection report should be signed and a consolidated monthly report should be generated for management.
To establish and maintain excellent guest relations and complaints handling mechanism
Responsible for liaising with governing bodies for relevant sports to ensure compliance for all events and circuits
Responsible for proactively seeking ways to build and promote facilities as a leading local/international destination
Oversee and manage the performance of team members through performance monitoring, appraisals, coaching, counselling, discipline, and training.
Actively involved in establishing regular departmental training schedules and coordinating with the HR Training Officer in finding out the effectiveness of training.
Responsible to motivate the department and team, to achieve the budgeted training hours per employee/per month.
Responsible for organizing and managing the functioning of the department during the special events and to liaisons with the support departments for effectiveness and efficiency.
Oversee and maintain set standards to ensure compliance with company insurance policies.
Requirements
Requirements and skills:
Masters or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Physical Education, Fitness or Recreation, any suitable field in Hospitality, Sports, or Business Administration
Minimum 10 to 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role, managerial role is preferred Extensive experience in Motorsports, Watersports, Recreation, Karting, Padel, Tennis, Parks, Gym, etc.
Experience in an integrated Private or Semi-Private Resort and Country Club or Sports Club with both Membership and Public access in a senior leadership role
Strong leadership qualities and be able to motivate and inspire their team.
Exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
