Job Description
licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with over 3 years of experience helping individuals of all ages improve their communication skills. She/He/They specialize in the evaluation and treatment of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
Assessment and Diagnosis:
Evaluate speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using standardized tests and clinical observation Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices
Treatment and Therapy:
Provide direct therapy to patients to address speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties Use techniques such as articulation therapy, language intervention, and oral-motor exercises Educate and coach patients and their families on techniques to support progress outside of therapy sessions
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessment results, treatment progress, and discharge summaries Monitor and record patient outcomes to adjust therapy as needed Communicate findings and progress to other healthcare providers, educators, and caregivers
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with teachers, physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals to support comprehensive care Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) or care team meetings as needed Refer patients to other professionals when appropriate
